I am Dr. Aleisha C. Coins, LPC, an accomplished mental health therapist, educator, and consultant deeply committed to providing equitable mental health care to marginalized groups and underserved communities.
As a mental wellness advocate and behavioral health specialist, I am a passionate therapist with experience in grant administration and mental health program development. I have worked as a telemental health provider, an online counseling faculty member, an acute hospitalization therapist, and a director of counseling services.
I am also a strategic planner who facilitates experiential learning through corporate professional development training in mental health.
My counseling specialties include marriage and family counseling, divorce, infertility, stress, depression, anxiety, relationships, family conflicts, self-esteem, motivation, trauma, crisis management, chronic health issues, and coping with life changes. Evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy are primarily used in my treatment approach.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, traveling, and working on interior design projects around my home. I also enjoy spending quality time with family, friends, and my four fur babies—Bruno, Peanut, Jorge, and Shiloh.
